Growing Plumbing and HVAC company seeking to hire a lead  Plumbing & HVAC Technician. The right candidate would work with a team to install, maintain, and repair residential heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing systems. Key responsibilities include diagnosing equipment failures, fixing leaks, repairing pipes, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of HVAC units and plumbing fixtures. 

 

Key Responsibilities

• HVAC Systems: Install, maintain, and repair HVAC units, including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, and AC units.

• Plumbing Systems: Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and sewage systems.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions in plumbing and HVAC equipment to fix issues, such as repairing leaks, replacing faulty parts, or recharging refrigerants.

• Compliance & Safety: Adhere to safety regulations, building codes, and environmental guidelines regarding refrigerant handling.

• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance

• Customer Service: Professional presentation and communication skills required to Interact with a loyal customer base to explain issues.

• Supervisory: Candidate will supervise entry-level technicians.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 5+ years of plumbing and/or HVAC experience

• Education: High school diploma or GED; technical training in HVAC/Plumbing.

• Certification: EPA certification for handling refrigerants.

• Licensure: Valid driver’s license 

• Technical Skills: Proficient in using hand tools and testing tools 

• Physical Ability: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for long periods.

• Knowledge: Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. 

 

Typical Working Conditions

• Work is done in varied conditions, including tight crawl spaces, rooftops, and in diverse weather conditions.

• Often involves working on-call, evenings, or weekends
